THREE SCORE DANCE COMPANY IS MADE UP OF 13 WOMEN & MEN AGED 60+

A line drawing of many people in motion.

The dancers’ life experience brings a unique depth to their work, even for those without prior dance training.

Through regular technique classes and workshops, they continue to grow as dancers.

Led by Artistic Director Jason Keenan-Smith, the company commissions new work from both emerging and renowned choreographers, including Lea Anderson, Jose Agudo, Ben Duke, Yael Flexer and others. These collaborations explore the beauty of the older body in movement, and their performances have toured widely, thanks to support from Arts Council England, Brighton Dome and Festival, South East Dance, and other generous supporters.

For Three Score Dance, performance is at the heart of everything. Each piece showcases not only the artistry of the dancers but also the power of experience and expression through movement.

A line drawing of quote marks.

Three Score Dance exists to ensure that people, regardless of age, have the opportunity to be seen.

Whether on stage, in the studio, or in everyday life, everyone deserves to be acknowledged—to be seen as creative, as moving, and as the complex and wonderful beings they are.

Through dance, they gain the chance to be recognised and experience the joy that movement brings.”
